A Few Things to Note About Flights:

We will depart from West High School on a Werner Coach Bus at 3:30 PM. To ensure a smooth and efficient process, we have established the following assembly-line-style procedure:

Due to increased spring break travel, heavier-than-usual traffic, and current airport conditions, we will now depart from West High School at 3:30 PM. Recent reports indicate increased TSA callouts, which has led to longer security lines and a more crowded airport environment than usual.

🔹 Drop-off Time at West HS: 3:00 - 3:15 PM

Step-by-Step Check-In Process:

1️⃣ Luggage Drop-Off – Upon arrival, bring all luggage to Ms. Dawson.

2️⃣ Luggage LoadingMr. Saddler & Mr. Shultz will help you load your luggage under the bus.

3️⃣ Final Check-In & Passport Verification – Before boarding the coach bus, you MUST check in with Mrs. Disantis and show your passport upon boarding.

Return from Spain

Due to the unpredictability of flights, we ask that a parent or guardian be available to pick up their child from West High School within the following time window on April 7:

7:30 – 11:30 PM

This timeframe accounts for the time needed to retrieve checked baggage, gather the group, and travel back to West High School via coach bus.

It also accounts for potential flight delays or arriving earlier. The group leader will communicate any updates as soon as they become available in the parent Signal group.

Flight Changes and Delays

Any flight updates, delays, or changes will be communicated in Signal “Spain (Parent)” group. This group is for PARENTS ONLY.

It’s critical that every traveler has Mobile Passport Control (MPC) installed on their phone. This will help them move through customs as quickly as possible.

If a Traveler Misses a Connecting Flight, this is the plan:

🏨 Hotel Accommodations

Below is a list of our hotel accommodations, rooming assignments, and grouping by trip leader.

Room Assignments & Grouping Details

Below are the room assignments for groups four, thoughtfully arranged to balance fairness and preferences. Thank you for your patience as this was a complex process to organize. These assignments may change, including after we arrive in Spain. However, no one has been placed in a room or trip leader group with someone they specifically requested not to room with.

Each trip leader is assigned two rooms of students (Mr. Saddler has one). These groups will be used when we split into smaller groups, including at the airport and during activities. Every effort was made to keep friend groups together within these groupings.

Room assignments are based on submitted preferences. While not all requests could be honored, each student is placed with at least one preferred roommate. There may also be student(s) in your room you do not know, but that’s part of the fun. Due to room size limits (3–4 per room), there is very limited flexibility for changes.

If you would like a change to be considered, please reach out and I will do my best to accommodate where possible.
